Let me tell you, I love making candles. I really do. But girl. You KNOW I can't pump out all of these babies in my home kitchen without a little help from my friends Jack, Uncle Tito or Don every once in awhile. 

Which got me thinking...we pair so many things together that compliment each other (peanut butter and jelly, Laverne and Shirley, ice cream and sprinkles, Sundays and brunch), what could be better than candles and drinks?! 

While using my past bartending expertise and my candle guru-ism (made that up), I have curated a list of some candle and drink combos that I think will be a smash at any spring or summer party! 

GRAPEFRUIT MOJITO

Ok but this drink is actually REALLY good, guys. I didn't name a candle after it for no reason ;) 

Ingredients

10 fresh mint leaves
1/2 lime, cut into 4 wedges
3 grapefruit sections
2 tablespoons white sugar, or to taste
1 cup ice cubes
1 1/2 fluid ounces white rum (I use Bacardi)
1/2 cup club soda

Directions

Place mint leaves and one lime wedge into a sturdy glass. Use a muddler to crush the mint and lime to release the mint oils and lime juice. Add two more lime wedges, the grapefruit, and the sugar, and muddle again to release the lime and grapefruit juice. Do not strain the mixture. Fill the glass almost to the top with ice. Pour the rum over the ice, and fill the glass with carbonated water. Stir, taste, and add more sugar if desired. Garnish with the remaining lime wedge and a fun slice of grapefruit.
